Site Overview:

Amboy Crater is located in the Mojave Desert of southeast California.
Coordinates of the crater are approximately 34.54°N, 115.79°W.

• About the photographs:

Images were acquired on the ground and from low-altitude fixed-wing aircraft in February, 1976.
The photographers were Drs. R. Greeley and J. D. Iversen, as indicated by image set.

Black and white photographs: 8″ x 10″, scanned at 600 dpi, except set 5 which are 3.5” x 5”, scanned at 1200 dpi.
Color photographs: 3 3/8” x 5”, scanned at 1200 dpi.

• Planetary Data System (PDS) Archive:

As part of the effort to distribute the unique collections of the RGCPS, the scanned images have been archived in the NASA PDS. PDS4 data standards were applied to the image products. Following a formal review, the image archive has been hosted through the PDS site:
